Chad McCarthy

Chad McCarthy, age 69, of Stephens City, VA, passed away on Saturday, November 25, surrounded by his family, after a battle with melanoma.

Chad was born on June 3rd, 1954, to James and Laura McCarthy in New York City. After Chad graduated from Central High School in 1973, he worked at DuPont of Front Royal for over 30 years. He enjoyed coaching youth soccer, going on nature walks, and taking trips to the Outer Banks with his wife and children. In recent years, he enjoyed traveling in his Roadtrek RV.

Chad is survived by his loving wife Madelene, his children, Trevor, Zack, and Baylen, his brother Michael, his cousin Ceryn, his daughter-in-law Althea, and his grandson Sebastian.

A memorial service for Chad will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Stover Funeral Home.
