Carroll Honesty Roberts, Jr.

Carroll Honesty Roberts, Jr., 66, of Strasburg, VA, departed this life to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

A celebration of life and homegoing service for Carroll H. Roberts, Jr. will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Strasburg United Methodist Church. followed immediately by a repast at the church fellowship hall, 114 W. Washington St., Strasburg, VA.  the family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. 

Carroll was born on August 26,1956 in Front Royal, VA. He was the son of Mary Roberts and Carroll H. Roberts, Sr., of Markham, VA.  Carroll “Boo” Roberts Jr. married Janet M. Roberts on September 11, 1978. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Carroll “Boo” Roberts Jr., was a very kind and funny individual who enjoyed music, watching movies, traveling, cooking, and spending time with
his friends and family. Carroll “Boo” Roberts Jr. received his GED from Job Core and then joined the United States Army in 1977. He worked for over 20 years at Worldwide Automotive of Winchester, VA.

He is survived by his daughter Natasha Roberts Mickel (Ronald Mickel). Tragically, his beloved wife Janet M. Roberts died in 2020. His son Jamil Roberts passed away in 2016 followed by his grandson, Malikhi Roberts in 2018. His surviving grandkids are Jada, Ahrianna, Khloe, Chase, Kamden, and Chandler. His surviving siblings include from oldest, Carolyn Roberts, Betty Morton, Walter Roberts, Mary Roberts, John Roberts, and Chester Roberts. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Carroll “Boo” Roberts Jr. was an usher at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Over the years he served as a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Men, as well as a faithful contributor assisting with church fundraisers by cooking food, maintaining lawn care, and cleaning up many church events.
