William Griffin "Billy" Reynolds, age 62, a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his beloved family and friends. A funeral service for Mr. Reynolds will be conducted at 11: 00 A.M Friday, December 27, 2013 at Gravel Spring Lutheran Church with Pastor Sonya Williams-Giersch and Pastor Don Prange officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Springs Cemetery with full military honor conducted by the Virginia Army National Guard. H e was born in Star Tannery, Virginia on January 9, 1951 a son of the late Kenneth Lee Reynolds, Sr. and Gleetus Naomi Brill Reynolds. He was a member of Gravel Springs Lutheran Church. Billy had a love for farming and was the farm manager of Denzil Heishman Farms for 40 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hannah Marie Clem and a sister, Olive Mae Reynolds. Survivors include his loving wife Shirley Reedy Reynolds of the home; a son, Forrest Reynolds and wife, Paula of Strasburg, VA; three daughters, Debbie Carter and husband, Allan of Waynesboro, VA, Sharon Doman and husband, Charlie of Strasburg, VA, and Nancy Reynolds and Fiancé Bobby Shipe of Strasburg, VA; Grandchildren, JT Reynolds, Leigha Reynolds, Addison Carter, Delaney Carter, Emilee Shipe, and Brandon Dotson; Siblings, Kenneth L. Reynolds, Jr. and wife, Linda of Strasburg, VA, Rachel Clem and husband, Marvin of Star Tannery, VA, Pat Lofton and husband, Steve of Strasburg, VA, Roy Reynolds and wife, Velma of Stephens City, VA, and Susie Jackson and husband, Monk of Woodstock, VA. Pallbearers will be Roger Hockman, Wesley Hockman, JT Reynolds, Forrest Reynolds, Roy Reynolds, and Kenneth L. Reynolds, Jr. The grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M.
