Wade Marshall Bly's Obituary

Wade Marshall Bly was released to his eternal life on May 26, 2016. He was born in Winchester, Virginia on July 7, 1961. He is survived by his lifelong companion, Pam Rosenberger; his children, Tara Bly and husband, Joshua, Kara "Megan" Bly and companion, Nathan, Jessica Bly and Eric Bly; his grandchildren, Olivia, Natalie, Melanie, Colton, Jacob, Allyson, Trevor and Haley; his nephew, Joshua, a very special niece, whom he thought of as a daughter, Victoria Pitcock; his mother, Gladys Ritenour; a sister, Kim Funkhouser; his brothers, Bobby Bly, Todd Bly, Dennis Bly, Gary Bly and Kenny Bly. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins aunts, uncles anda people who referred to him as Dad, especially Justin Gulick. He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Bly and his step-mother, Anna Mae Bly, by whom he was raised. Wade was a member of Strasburg American Legion Post 77 and Hites Chapel United Methodist Church. Honorary pallbearers will be Warren Richard and Hunter Hollar. Wade loved everyone he met unconditionally and talked to them about any and everything. His infectious personality always made you feel comfortable, alive and happy. He had a profound love for God and his family. A celebration of his life will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Strasburg United Methodist Church with Rev. John B. Haynes, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. till service time at the church. Memorials contributions for Wade M. Bly may be made to Stover Funeral Home, Inc. 177 N. Holliday St., Strasburg, Virginia 22657.
