Tana Jean Sexton, age 60, a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service for Tana will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2021 at Stover Memorial Chapel.  Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens with full military honors conducted by Shenandoah American Legion Post 77, Strasburg, VA.

Tana was born in Arlington, VA on June 25, 1960 a daughter of Joseph Andrew Sexton, Sr. and the late Patricia Diane Bogle Suttles.  She was a graduate of Madison County High School and a veteran of the US Navy.  She was a member of the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Department Auxiliary and was a part of the search and rescue team.  Tana had no children of her own but was the best aunt ever claiming all of her nieces and nephews as her own.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her siblings, Jo Ann Miller (Robin) of Strasburg, VA, Jackie Sexton of Madison, VA, Joe "Andy" Sexton (Lisa) of Madison, VA and Bonnie Burdette (Jeff) of Elizabeth City, NC and her stepfather, Samuel T. Suttles of Knoxville, TN along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who will miss her dearly.

Pallbearers will be Robert Canby, Cody Turner, Jacob Sexton, Joe "Andy" Sexton, Ethan Ward-Sexton, Devon Spencer, Jeff Burdette and Jarod Coffman.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Friday one hour prior to the service.

The family asks that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions, in memory of Tana, to the Shenandoah County Sheriff's Department Auxiliary, 810 N. Main Street, Woodstock, VA 22664.
