Our loving mother, Shrovie Clara Bowers Dellinger, age 91, of Strasburg, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011, at her home surrounded by her family. Graveside rites will be conducted 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at Panorama Memorial Gardens with Mrs. Sonja Williams-Giersch officiating. Mrs. Dellinger was born February 17, 1920 in the Jerome section of Shenandoah County, a daughter of the late Arthur David and Rhoda Funkhouser Bowers. She was the wife of the late Lynden Jackson Dellinger, a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jerome, a homemaker and retired after a number of years from the Edinburg Aileen, Inc. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed gardening, tending to her flower beds and cooking. Surviving are her son, Terry M. "Butch" Dellinger and wife Diane of Strasburg; and her daughter, Sherry Dellinger Campbell and husband Gary of Strasburg; five grandchildren, Kelly Dellinger Sager and husband Samuel of Toms Brook, Johnie C. Campbell and wife Melissa of Fishers Hill, Brandi Campbell Roy and husband Corey of Bowie, MD, Wendy C. Dellinger of Sevierville, TN, and Billy Williams and wife Susan of Fishers Hill; eight great-grandchildren, Timmy and Tyler Pedersen, Abbigayle Ryman, Cody and Chase Campbell, Trevor Sager, Emily Melnicoff and Evan Williams; one great-great-granddaughter, Kalli Pedersen; and a close family friend, Edward L. Meadow. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wilbur Bowers; and a sister, Mamie O'Hagen. Pallbearers will be Keith Walters, Sam Sager, Tyler Pedersen, Timmy Pedersen, Cody Campbell and Eddie Meadows. The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home, 177 N. Holliday Street, Strasburg, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, Inc., 333 W.
