Shirley Silver Blue, 77, of Inwood, WV passed away peacefully and entered into eternal rest on Monday, February 10, 2025, at the home of her nephew Timothy and Rachel Harris.

Shirley was born in Halifax County, North Carolina on June 23, 1947, and was a daughter of the late Gideon and Sarah Batchlor Silver.  She worked as a health nurse with the Internal Revenue Service, having 30 years of service.  Shirley was a member of Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church in Winchester, VA.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Blue who passed away in January 2022; siblings Elizabeth Harper, Dollie Colding, Wilbert Silver, James Silver, and Jerome Silver

Survivors include her daughter Sonja Blue; her grandson Christopher Blue both of Aliso Viejo, CA; her sisters, Janice Willis, Joyce Terry (Junior Lee), Doris Johnson; her sister-in-law, Lamenthia (Mint) along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A celebration and home going service for Shirley will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2025, at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church, 189 Parson Court, Winchester, VA 22603 with Rev. Jeff Dillon officiating.

The family will receive friends at Cornerstone United Pentecostal Church on Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m.
