Sharon Marie (Combs) Halpin, 75, of Strasburg, Virginia passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her dedicated, loving son Tony and her sister, Peggy.

Mrs. Halpin was born in Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D. C. on February 10, 1949, the daughter of the late Thomas Leonard Combs, Jr. and the late Mary Margaret "Sis Tippett" Combs.  Sharon was a past fire prevention queen with the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department, past member of the American Legion Post Edwin Adams 293 auxiliary.  She enjoyed bingo, casinos, traveling, and spending time with her beloved cat "Sim Sim".  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, James John Halpin whom she married on October 3, 1975.

She was the mother of Anthony Leonard Hall, Sr, and Jamie Marie Shifflett R(Craig) and the sister of Margaret Susan (Peggy Combs) Cronan.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Anthony Leonard Hall, Jr. (Alayna), Gregory Allan Hall, Daniel Johnson Smelcer, James Robert Smelcer (Heather), Brooke Leanne Matthews (George), Austin Christopher Smelcer; her great-grandchildren, Brynlee Mae Hall, Axton Leo Hall and Brady Steven Hall.

Honorary pallbearers will be, her six grandchildren, her three great-grandchildren, and her nephew, Russell Middleton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sharon's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
