Samuel Luther Spicer 88, of Star Tannery, VA passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at his residence.

A funeral service for Mr. Spicer will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Stover Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Lebanon Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Mr. Spicer was born in North Carolina on December 27, 1932 a son of the late Luther Samuel and Ada Viola Anderson Spicer and was retired from Yates Printing where he worked as a Lithographer.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven siblings.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Ruth Jean Spicer of Star Tannery; his children Joe Samuel Spicer, Boyd Jonathan Spicer, and Jason Edward Spicer; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild;  his brother Donnie Spicer along with several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joe Spicer, Boyd Spicer, Jason Spicer, William Spicer, Dustin Spicer, and Jack Spicer.
