Rosemary Theresa (Keane) Kesler, 67, of Strasburg Virginia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Adler Center in Aldie, VA.
A funeral mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Kesler will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2021 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Winchester, VA.
Rosemary was born in Rockville Centre, NY on February 6, 1954 a daughter of the late Walter and Katherine (Walsh) Keane. Rosemary grew up in Bayshore, NY attended Bayshore High School and following high school, nursing school. She was a resident of Strasburg for twelve years. Rosemary lived with her family in New York, Spain, Germany, Rhode Island and England, before moving to Virginia. Rosemary loved to travel, the ocean, gardening, her Jack Russell terrier Russell and spending time with her children and grandson who she was devoted to. Having survived cancer as a young adult, Rosemary believed that every day was a gift. She believed in being kind to all, "never judged a book by its cover", had a wonderful sense of humor and sharing memories that all who knew her will remember. She was a beautiful soul and beloved mother that will be deeply missed by her children, she was the greatest mother a child could ask for.
Rosemary is survived by her husband John "Jack" Kesler of Strasburg, two daughters Megan Kesler of Alexandria, VA, Erin Kesler of Takoma Park, MD and two sons Patrick Kesler and his wife Erika and Grandson Caleb Walter of New Bedford, MA and Matthew Kesler and his wife Mim of Winchester, VA. She is also survived by her six siblings, Walter Keane Jr. of Merrimack NH, Eileen Monte of Foster City, CA, Patricia Corbett of Medford, MA, Marguerite Snow of Osterville, MA, John Keane of Rome, NY and Kathleen Reed of Old Lyme, CT.
A funeral service will be held at a later date. Please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
