Peggy Lou Putman, 84, of Strasburg, VA passed away Friday, April 26, 2024, at Augusta Nursing & Rehab in Fishersville, VA.

Ms. Putman was born in Strasburg, VA on March 20, 1940, a daughter of the late Charles William and Mary Elizabeth Golliday Putman, Sr.  She was a member of the Fresh Water Fellowship in Woodstock, VA.  Mrs. Putman loved to play bingo, enjoyed her coloring books, and never met a stranger.

Survivors include her only daughter Cathy Tharpe (Larry) of Strasburg, VA; her grandchildren Melissa Vann-Combs (Roy) of Pittsfield, Maine, and Kimberly Reams (Robbie) of NC; her great-grandchildren Jacquelyn Combs, Maynard Vann, Darrell Hamm, Jr., Pamela Combs, Roy Combs, Jr., and Gabriel Reams; her siblings Charles "Dickie" Putman, Jr., Randolph "Tommy" Putman, Penny Putman, and Sharon Ann Putman along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service for Ms. Putman will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Stover Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Lloyd officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
