Patricia Alexander Strosnider, affectionately known as "Miss Pat", age 82, of Strasburg, VA passed away Sunday, September 3, 2023, at Winchester Medical Center.

A funeral service for Mrs. Strosnider will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Stover Funeral Home with Rev. Nate Robinson and Rev. Sonya Williams-Giersch officiating.  Burial will follow in Gravel Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Strosnider was born in Washington D.C. on July 22, 1941, a daughter of the late Charles Everett and Daisy Alice Beatley Alexander.  She was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church in Woodstock, VA. Mrs. Strosnider was the Secretary at Sandy Hook Elementary School and worked for the Shenandoah County Public Schools for over 30 years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Arthur Strosnider,Jr.; a daughter Vonda K. Wright; a grandson Michael A. Nixon; a stepdaughter Rita Strosnider; and a brother William Everett Alexander.

Survivors include her daughter Melody Wright Nixon; her grandchildren Christopher Nixon (Kara Richman), and Stephen Nixon (Abby); four great-grandchildren; a stepson Steve Strosnider; a sister Deborah Alexander Kaufman (Art) along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Art Kaufman, Mike Rose, Donald Riffey, Greg Beatley, Phil Hottel, and Jeff Riffey.
