Pansy Rebecca Hamman Darr 85 of Strasburg, VA passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022, at her residence.

A funeral service for Mrs. Darr will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at Stover Funeral Home with Rev. Nip Crites officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Stephen Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Darr was born in Shenandoah County, VA on November 21, 1936, a daughter of the late Benjamin Edward and Anna Alberta McDonald Hamman.  She was a member of the Meadow Mills Church of the Brethren where she served as the church Treasurer for many years, was a Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir, and served on numerous committees.  Pansy worked at Robert E. Aylor Middle School for 14 years and then retired from International Automotive Components (IAC) Strasburg, VA.  She loved bluegrass festivals, camping, joy riding, westerns, and was a member of the Strasburg Moose Lodge.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harman C. Darr, Sr.; a grandson Brian Scott Darr; three brothers George "Buck" McDonald, Grayson M. Hamman, Sr., and Benjamin F. Hamman along with a sister Weigelia A. Hamman Hebb.

Survivors include her children Harman C. Darr, Jr., Wayne A Darr, Sr. (Phyllis), and Brenda A. Darr Coffman (Jimmy); seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; her sister Ruth A. Hamman Miller; her brothers Andrew A. Hamman, Roland H. Hamman, and Gene A. Hamman, Sr.; her caregivers Lisa and Rick Long along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Brad Darr, Wayne Darr, Jr., Aaron Darr, Cody Darr, Dusty Herbrandt, and Jason Massie.
