Nancy Langhorne Miller Moorhouse of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully in her sleep and surrounded by her faithful friends and caregivers on August 28, 2022. Nancy was 88 years old.

Nancy was born on September 19, 1933, to Chauncey and Rose Miller of Strasburg Virginia. She was a woman of remarkable intelligence and an avid reader to the end. She was also a lovely woman who was generous to a fault and beautiful both on the inside and out. Those qualities were undoubtedly responsible for her being chosen to reign over her New Jersey High School Prom as, "Queen for a Night." Nancy attended Hood College in Fredrick, Maryland where she obtained a bachelor's degree in business and later established the Nancy Miller Moorhouse '55 Memorial Fund for the Care & Upkeep of the College Grounds. She went on to obtain a degree in Business Public Relations from Katherine Gibbs Business College before being hired by American Airlines in October of 1956.

On September 21, 1957, Nancy married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Moorhouse. They were married for over 50 years. Bob and Nancy had no children, but they had each other and that was enough.  Nancy was a true pioneer at America Airlines in becoming one of their early female executives. Her career was devoted to its Creative Services Department where she was instrumental in establishing both the Admirals Club and the "Based Here. Best Here." promotional campaign. In 1989, Nancy was commended by Michael W. Gunn for her "high quality of service." In 1991, American Airlines recognized Nancy for her 35 years of outstanding service. She retired in 1999.

Nancy is proceeded in death by her father Chauncey D. Miller, mother Rose E. Miller and husband Robert "Bob" Moorhouse.

She is survived by her sister-in law, Patricia Miller, nephews Steven Wade Miller and Brian Scott Miller, niece Michele Miller Castro, and her dear friends and neighbors for over 33 years, Suzanne Hosseini and Fritz Achhorner. She was loved and will be missed forever.

A graveside service for Mrs. Moorhouse will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 19, 2022, at Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg, Virginia with Rev. Sonya Williams-Giersch officiating.
