Molly Lee
Jett
November 12, 1937 – June 14, 2011
Molly Lee Sullivan Jett On November 12, 1937, Margaret May Sullivan and Joseph Courtney Sullivan gave birth to Molly Lee in Alexandria, VA. When Molly was a small child her family moved to a small farm in Fort Valley, VA where she enjoyed her childhood with her two brothers, Jack and Vernon Sullivan, and her sisters, Courtney Newman and Patty Williams. After graduating from Strasburg High School, Molly married Van Eldon Jett of Fort Valley, VA and in 1964 they built a house in Strasburg where they raised their two children, Philip Andrew Jett and Vanessa Jett Culp. For many years Molly worked at Massanutten Bank and after leaving the bank she provided child care in her home before working at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Daycare. Her grandchildren played a special role in her life. Molly leaves two grandchildren Cathy Wagoner and Brittany Culp and her great-grandchildren, Krista Ferguson and Caden Wagoner. It was October 1, 2001 that Molly was in a car accident which left her a quadriplegic. This life changing event did not dampen her spirits as she still put the welfare of others first. Molly found her peace on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 as the Lord came to take her home. To honor our mother's recent request her service will be conducted privately. For those who wish, a register will be made available at Stover Funeral Home where friends may visit during regular business hours. One of Molly's favorite pastime was being with children, as a way of honoring her life we ask that you select a child in your life and extend an act of kindness towards them in memory of Molly.
