Melvin Lee Wilson, 89, of Strasburg, VA passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Commonwealth Senior Living in Front Royal, VA.

A graveside service for Mr. Wilson will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Panorama Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Wilson was born in Baltimore, Maryland on October 24, 1933, a son of the late Harry and Catherine Fogle Wilson.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, worked for Abex Corporation, Crestliner Boats, and was a self-employed mechanic.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Elizabeth Palmer Wilson and siblings Julia Ritenour and Clifton Wilson.

Survivors include his children Cynthia Grandstaff (Roy) of Maurertown, VA, Blaine Wilson (Lisa) of Gore, VA, and Tony Wilson (Kim) of Strasburg, VA; his grandchildren Brandon Grandstaff (Mandy), Samantha Wilson, Tyler Wilson, and Corinne Disciavi; one great-grandchild Ryder Grandstaff; a brother Gary Wilson along with several nieces and nephews.
