Melanie Ruth Johnson 60 of Toms Brook, VA passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Winchester, VA.

A celebration of life for Melanie is being planned for late spring and will be announced.

Melanie was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania on September 27, 1961, a daughter of the late Claude Ellsworth and Evelyn Louise Wagner Hannold.  She was a former employee of Interbake Foods in Front Royal, VA.  Melanie loved flowers, gardening, and animal.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters Nancy Boyles and Peggy Perry and a brother Lyle Hannold.

Survivors include her husband Keith Allen Johnson of Toms Brook, VA; her children Jessica Vandall (Larry), Sarah McKenzie (Robert), and Rebecca Johnson; her grandchildren Natalie, Luke, Jake, and Zachary; her siblings Clarence Jacob Hannold (Georgia), Ronald Hannold (Flora), Thomas Hannold (Sandra), Carol Knappenberger (Thomas), and Vanessa Bashline (Timothy) along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
