Maynard Hodson, 86, of Strasburg, VA passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Winchester Health and Rehab in Winchester, VA.

Mr. Hodson was born in Shenandoah County, VA on September 29, 1939, a son of the late Harold Wilby and Katie Catherine Laffollette Hodson. He was a member of the Meadow Mills Church of the Brethren in Middletown, VA, and a 1959 graduate of Strasburg High School. He was formerly employed at Avtex, Corp., The Press, and Walmart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers William Hodson, Albert Hodson, and Harold Lee Hodson, and one sister Retha Hodson Miller.

Survivors include his loving sister Mary Mowery of Strasburg, VA, nine nephews and six nieces.

A graveside service for Mr. Hodson will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2026, at Walnut Springs Cemetery with Buster Doman officiating.
