Louise Huston Massoud, 84, of Strasburg, VA passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, at Hilltop Memory Care of Winchester, VA.

A memorial service for Mrs. Massoud will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 20, 2023, at Stover Funeral Home Chapel.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Massoud was born in Washington DC, a daughter of the late Robert Cameron and Louise Lappin Huston.  Mrs. Massoud was honored by the city of Alexandria, VA as a "Living Legend" for her work in discovering and preserving the Freedman's Cemetery in Alexandria, VA.

Survivors include her only son John Massoud of Strasburg, VA; her brother Bob Huston (Nancy); her nephew Paul Huston; her nieces Adrienne Huston, Roya Evans, and Maria Khairzad.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Restoration Fellowship Church, 2128 John Marshall Highway, Strasburg, VA, 22657.
