Linda Etta Ponton 75 of Strasburg, VA passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Winchester Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life service for Linda will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church.

Linda was born in Woodstock, VA on May 2, 1946, a daughter of the late Gorden Elroy and Larue Cook Orndorff.  She was a member of the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church and had worked for the Virginian Truck Stop, Bobby's Restaurant, and Boeing Corp before her retirement.  Linda had a love for baking and cooking.  She had an unforgettable laugh and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers Donald E. Orndorff, Garland E. Orndorff and James E. Orndorff.

Survivors include her beloved children Christina Ritter (Chuck) and Scotty Ponton (Juanita) all of Strasburg, VA; her grandchildren Danyelle Gordon and Troy Gordon; her two brothers Richard E. Orndorff of Woodstock, VA, and Vaughn E. Orndorff of Strasburg, VA along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions in memory of Linda to Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, 12180 Back Road, Toms Brook, VA 22660.
