Kevin Michael Shibley 63 of Boyce, VA passed away peacefully on Monday January 2, 2023, at his home in Boyce, VA surrounded by his beloved children and grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mr. Shibley will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at Stover Funeral Home with Rev. David Olsen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

A graveside service for Mr. Shibley will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2023, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery in Clear Spring, Maryland.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Shibley, II, John Shibley, Patrick Shibley, Robbie Hill, Tommy Daniels, and Stephen Taylor.

Kevin was known for his strength, resilience, and unfathomable work ethic- which did not waver even throughout his illness. After his passing, we can be assured he entered the gates of Heaven as Kevin was recently baptized in Jesus' name and received the gift of the Holy Spirit surrounded by his children at home in his final hours. He worked his entire life in residential and commercial site development, including at Seabrook Stations, DC Metro, and Hampton Roads, most recently he built Kevin II and Rachel a farmette in Boyce.

Known as Hardcore Homer by his brothers and friends, Kevin had a tough exterior that surrounded a generous heart. He will be remembered by most outdoors operating his heavy equipment- backhoe (Snaggle-Puss), and bulldozer (Snaggle-Pusses brother) in all-weather, frequently as a favor to friends. The family is comforted that Kevin is now at rest with his beloved father, Jidi.

Kevin is survived by his beloved children Kevin Michael II and wife Rachel, Julie Anna Rosales and husband Anthony, and Christian Brook Bolvito and husband Edgar; his grandchildren Soliana, Ana, Owen, and Aiden; his siblings Mark Shibley, John Shibley, Mary Miller, Patrick Shibley, and Stepmother Louise Shibley-Shearer. He was preceded in death by his parents, the late George Peter Shibley and the late Ann Gresham along with a brother Peter.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601.
