Kenneth R. Stickley, Sr. Kenneth Rex Stickley, Sr., age 70, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 at his home in Strasburg. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Tuesday at Stover Funeral Home, Strasburg with Rev. Richard J. Goeres officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg. Mr. Stickley was born February 26, 1939 in Strasburg, a son of the late Coulter Hansell and Willie Carlotta Smith Stickley. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, the National Rifle Association, Strasburg Moose Lodge No. 403 and the Legion of the Moose. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors and was loved by all. He retired from Safeway with 35 years of service. Surviving are his loving wife, Charlotte Mae Smith Stickley; his beloved children, Kenneth Rex Stickley, Jr. of Casco, Maine, Melinda Stickley of Strasburg, Pamela Stickley of Winchester, Dorie Stickley of Strasburg, Daniel Kidd of Front Royal and Ronald Kidd of Wrightsville, Pennsylvania; his brother, Ronald C. Stickley of Strasburg; sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ray Andrews, Rex Andrews, Bobby Hinkins, Babe Pangle Bobby Smith, and David Smith. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7 to 9 P.M. and will meet there at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to Blue Ridge Hospice, Inc., 333 W.
