Kelly (Sturgis) Garces Canizares died June 15, 2026, after a long struggle with alcoholism. She was 40 years old. 

Kelly was a talented gymnast, a creative crafter, and a joyful dancer. She was fiercely loyal, generous, and unapologetically unfiltered.

 Kelly leaves behind her parents, Glenn and Kim Sturgis; her sisters Laura, Beth, and Jennie and their families; and her beloved children, Katie and Avery, whom she adored. 

If you wish to celebrate Kelly’s life, she asked that you put on some ‘90s music and have a dance party. She’ll be dancing with you, at peace at last.
