Katherine Elizabeth "Katie" Knight 25, a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at INOVA Alexandria Hospital.

A celebration of life for Katie will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Stover Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Howard officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 6-7 p.m.

Katie was born in Winchester, VA on October 28, 1996, the daughter of Christine Elizabeth Taylor and Joshua Charles Knight.  She was a 2015 graduate of Strasburg High School.  In 2017 Katie was an employee of Spectrum House, where she worked with autistic children.  Katie worked at the Alexandria Cupcake and was a proud member of "Friends of Guest House".  Katie was very artistic, creative, and loved animals especially cats.  She also loved the ocean and being with family and friends more than anything.  She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Karen Elizabeth Messinger, paternal grandfather Donald Fisher, and great-grandmother Kathe Lucey.

Survivors include her mother and stepfather Christine Elizabeth and Jeremiah Lee Taylor; her father and stepmother Joshua Charles and Heather Knight; her brothers James Sibert, Jr., and Kallen Knight; her stepsisters Kylie Flannery and Kia Brimmer; her paternal grandmother Mary Knight Fisher; her maternal grandfather Otto William Messinger; her paternal step grandmother Alice Pearce; her aunt Kellie Messinger; her uncle Ben Campbell; cousins Ashley Campbell, Makayla Campbell, Emily Wright, and Lisa Wright along with her great aunt Charlene Atkisson.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions in memory of Katie to Friends of Guest House, One East Luray Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22301-2025.
