June Fay Plaugher, age 76, a resident of Strasburg, VA in the Oranda community passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service for Mrs. Plaugher will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Pastor Duke McCaffrey officiating.  Burial will follow in the Walnut Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. Plaugher was born in Shenandoah County, VA on September 13, 1944 a daughter of the late Walter Jenkins, Sr. and the late Reba Ardesta Rhodes Jenkins. She was a member of the Meadow Mills Church of the Brethren.  Mrs. Plaugher enjoyed camping and worked as an aide in area nursing homes as well as providing childcare in the community.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Ida Mae Hepner, Shirley Tolbert, Rebecca Ritenour, Edith Miller, Walter Jenkins, Jr., Larry Jenkins, and Gloria Jean Jenkins.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years Charles A. Plaugher of Strasburg; her children Blane Plaugher and wife Laura of Maurertown, VA, Dixie Oyler and husband Jesse of Strasburg, VA, Diane Hodson and husband Wilby, Sr. of Strasburg, VA, Gwen Phelps and husband Doug of Maurertown, VA and Jason Miller of Frederick County, VA; her grandchildren, Candie, Amanda, Corrissa, Rebecca, Robert, Cathy, Cheyenne, David, Brianna, Olivia, Emily, Abigayle, Eric, Adam, Destiny, Gabriella, Wilby, Jr., Summer, Walker and Shiloh; one brother Douglas Jenkins of Strasburg, VA along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be David Plaugher, Tanner Myrtle, Eric Rush, Adam Rush, Marcus Miller and Robert Plaugher.
