Josiane Cecilia Stanley, age 66, a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital, Woodstock. Services for Mrs. Stanley will be conducted privately at a later date. She was born in New York on March 4, 1947 a daughter of the late Rufus Edmond and Cecilia Presti Sweet. She was a member of numerous Quilters Guilds, and was an avid rug hooker and knitter. Survivors include her loving husband, Daniel Calvin Stanley, Jr. of Strasburg, VA; children, Daniel Stanley of Patterson, NY and Aaron Stanley of Los Angeles, CA; grandson, Edward Stanley; sister, Colette Savage of Hawaii Expressions of sympathy may be in the form of memorial contributions to Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, 268 Landfill Rd, Edinburg, VA 22824.
