John David Clem 61, of Mount Jackson, VA passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Winchester Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life service for John will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2021, at My Church of Woodstock with Pastor Tony Alan Bates officiating.

John was born on March 21, 1960, a son of Clifford Ray Clem and Dorothy Ann Seibert.  John attended My Church of Woodstock where he was a part of the praise team "Vertical Praise".  John was an avid car enthusiast and often competed in local drag racing events with his prized Karmann ghia "Karmann".  He worked as a truck body equipment installer for Shade Equipment in Harrisonburg.  John had a passion for music and as a young man spent many weekends playing in local bands including Just 4 Fun, Cornfield Cadillac, Kahootz, Outback, Diamond Back to name a few.  John met Jesus Christ and committed his final years playing in his church band and serving on the praise team.

Survivors include his Mother Dorothy Seibert Hunter; his father and stepmother Clifford Ray and Peggy Clem; his loving wife whom he adored, Sherry Clem; his children Kristina Barrick, Benjamin Clem, Heather Stanton, and Lauren Campbell; his grandchildren Cole Stanton, Lilyin Emmons, Charles Connors, Drake Connors, Abel Clem, Haydon Stanton, and Kyleigh Mather; one great grandchild Ansleigh Price; his siblings Andrew Clem (Sarah), Sonia Harris (Robert), and Rex Hunter (Apple).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to My Church of Woodstock, P.O. Box 65, Strasburg, VA 22657.
