Jo Ann "Jody" Brill Orndorff McCoy 74 of Toms Brook, VA passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at Heritage Hall of Front Royal, VA

A Homegoing Celebration for Jody will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Strasburg Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Howard and Rev. Dr. Merwyn D. Brisco Sr. of Esbie Baptist Church officiating.

The family will privately lay Jody to rest in Riverview Cemetery beside her Son Robbie.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday, March 11, 2022, from 6-8 p.m.

Jody was born in Middletown, Virginia on September 17, 1947, the daughter of the late Leslie Lee Brill and the late Helen Strosnider Brill. She spent the first 10 years of her life in Middletown before moving to Strasburg following the death of her father. Middletown always held a special place in her heart, and she considered it her hometown.   Jody attended Strasburg High School and worked for several years at Shenandoah Valley Press but spent the majority of her life working in the restaurant industry.

In addition to her father and mother, she was predeceased by her son, Robert "Robbie" A. Orndorff, the father of her children Richard A. "Ricky" Orndorff, Sr. and one nephew.

Jody is survived by her son; Richard A. "Rich" Orndorff Jr. and wife Angie; her daughter Robin A. Patton and husband Duane; eight grandchildren, Madison Orndorff Munoz (Tyler), Kendall Orndorff, Casey Orndorff (Justin), Richard P. "Ricky" Neff III (Tiffany), Jared Patton, Donovan Patton, Megan Orndorff Gallagher (Patrick) and Hannah Orndorff; three step grandchildren; Maddy Herman, Ian Meadows and Cameron Meadows; five great grandchildren, Hadley, Karissa, Aria, Paislee and Beau;  Mike Costello whom she considered a son and her "best friend"  Brenda Jackson; cousins, nieces, nephews and two sisters-in-law and her beloved dog Diggie.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Costello, Scott Stickley, John Orndorff, Paul Orndorff, Tammy Compton Thomas, and Sue Compton Koury.

The family asks that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Stover Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
