Jimmy Donayne Rudd 79 of Strasburg, VA passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, at his residence.

Services and burial for Mr. Rudd will be conducted privately.

Mr. Rudd was born in Tennessee on September 1, 1942, a son of the late Willard Charles and Callie Virginia Ezell Rudd.  He was a US Navy Seal veteran with three tours in Vietnam where he became a P.O.W.  Mr. Rudd worked in construction, real estate and then became a self-employed contractor.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge #2382 in Front Royal, Virginia.

Survivors include his children Theordoa Lee Rudd, James D. Rudd, and John David Rudd; siblings Robert Muncey and Bobby Glenn Rudd along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to the Elks Lodge #2382, 4088 Guard Hill Road, Front Royal, VA 22660, or a POW-MIA organization of your choice.
