James Franklin Wilkins, Jr., 71, a resident of Basye, Virginia passed away Monday, August 21, 2023, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.

A casual Celebration of Life for Mr. Wilkins will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the pavilion shelter of First Church of Columbia Furnace located at 305 Back Road, Edinburg, VA 22824.

Mr. Wilkins was born in Woodstock, VA on May 12, 1952, a son of the late James Franklin and Madaline Zella Dellinger Wilkins.  He worked as an Agricultural Electronic Engineer, served as an Administrator of Mt. Jackson Moose Lodge 979, and enjoyed spending his winters in Florida.

Survivors include his wife Pat Wilkins of Basye, VA; his children Jennie Grady (James) and Sheena Wilkins (Ben Hamman); his grandchildren Adriana Wilkins, Cheyenne Grady, James Grady, IV, Devon Grady, Joslyn Grady, and Kinsley Grady; one sister Mitzi Wilkins Jones along with a nephew Seth Jones (Brianna).
