Helen Joplin Armstrong 84, of Winchester, VA passed away Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Green Valley Commons Assisted Living in Winchester. VA.

Services and burial for Mrs. Armstrong will be conducted at a later date.

Helen was born in Elkview, WV on August 28, 1937, a daughter of the late Cephas Edward and Ruby Ethel Marion Joplin.  She was a member of the Winchester Grace Brethren Church where she served as a former Sunday school teacher.  She was also an active member of the Oranda FCE, a great cook, and enjoyed crafts.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Hubert Armstrong, a brother Jack Joplin, and a daughter Cindi C. Henry.

Survivors include her children Tom Armstrong of San Francisco, CA, Shari Whitacre (Steve) of Winchester, VA, and John Armstrong of Lexington, KY; a son in law Billy Henry of Strasburg, VA; her grandchildren Keith Henry (Angela), Rachel Guthridge (JR), Jake Whitacre (Heidi), Ethan Whitacre (Rebecca), and Mary Jane Kelly (Jeremy); great grandchildren Seth, Colten, Breann, Claire, Molly, Meryn, and Bristol; her sibling Joe Joplin (Bev) of Charleston, WV and Sister in law Judy Joplin of Fort Mill, SC.
