Harry Grant Nelson, Jr. age 65, a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at his residence.

A funeral service for Mr. Nelson will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 12, 2021 at Stover Memorial Chapel with Rev. Fred Mauck officiating.  Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.  Full military honors will be conducted by the Shenandoah American Legion Post 77, Strasburg, VA.

Mr. Nelson was born on November 26, 1955 the son of the late Harry Grant Nelson Sr. and the Late Mary B. Ryan Nelson.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Shenandoah American Legion Post 77, Strasburg Moose Lodge, Strasburg Eagles, Front Royal ELK and the Edinburg V.F.W.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Harry Nelson, III.

Survivors include his wife Mildred Steed "Tiny" Nelson; his children Shannon Marie Suits (Christopher), Melissa Lynn Nelson Pownall (Matthew); stepchildren, Chad Kline and Tina Shultz; his grandchildren Tori Nelson, Brandon Nelson, Brennen Nelson, Joshua Suits, Christopher Scott Royal, Kenneth Ray Royal, Jr., and Thomas Shull; his siblings Jackie Ratliff, Donna Gscheidle, and Butch Stevens along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday.
