Guy Dennis “Denny” Renner, age 76, previously of Woodstock and Star Tannery, VA, passed away on Friday October 9, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Denny was born on February 6, 1950, a son of the late Guy William and Eadline Johnson Grubbs Renner. He was a long-time employee of DuPont and a graduate of Strasburg High School. During his free time, you could usually find him at the bowling alley or watching a NASCAR race.

He was one of five siblings, proceeded in death by his sister Denise Ann and baby brother Mickey Mantle Renner.

He is survived by his loving daughters Jennifer Sager (Robbie) of Edinburg, VA and Lacy Kreitzer of Woodstock, VA. His brother Ricky (Wilma Jean) of Star Tannery, VA and sister Debra (Doug) Hulver, Baker, WV, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

A celebration of life for Denny is being planned for a later date to be announced.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Celebration of Hope, a cancer support initiative, P.O. Box 828, Winchester, VA 22604, or the charity of one's choice.
