Gladys Marie Knight Funk, age 89, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in North Carolina.

Mrs. Funk will be laid to rest privately at Riverview Cemetery in Strasburg, VA.

Gladys was born in Frederick County, VA on May 28, 1932, the daughter of the late Robert Knight and Evelyn Cameron Rush. She was preceded in death by husbands, Clifton J Perry and Branson Funk, and her sons, Cliff Perry and Vinson Funk.

Surviving include her daughter, Linda Kurtz of Garner, NC; granddaughter, Tammy Stine (Randy) of Kearneysville, WV and Allison Helman (Robert) of Clayton, NC; and great granddaughters, Brianna Helman and Abigail Helman. A private graveside service will be held.
