Garland W. Miller, 74. Passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 20,2026 in Winchester VA.

Garland was born in Jerome, VA on Sept. 7, 1951, a son of the late Cletus and Eula Kohne Miller Sr. Garland worked for the Washington Metro Airport Authority at Dulles airport for 23 years until his retirement in 2013. Family and friends were his biggest joy in life. He loved family gatherings, auctions, and community functions at Greenwood Fire Department. Garland had a love for the outdoors whether it be time out hunting, or out on the water fishing. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Alice Bell.

Garland is survived by his wife Karen Miller; his stepchildren Anita Shrout (Brenda), Jay Keefer (Brittany), Jenna Shultz (Joseph); his siblings Elma Dellinger (John), Anna Barb (Curtis), Esther Foltz (Roy), Martha Dodson (Alan), Ellen Dellinger (Gary), and Cletus Miller, Jr. (Sherry). He is also survived by a step grandchild Tyler Keefer.

A Celebration of life for Mr. Miller will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Stover Funeral Home with Jimmy Oates officiating. Burial will follow in Panorama Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
