Obituary

Evelin Brigitte Toman, 67, of Toms Brook, VA passed away Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Toman was born in Germany on October 23, 1958, the daughter of Margot Anita Probst Hepner and the late Lewis Lee Grandstaff. She was a 1977 graduate of Strasburg High School and worked many years providing childcare in her home.

In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband George William "Moose" Toman, II; her children George William "Billy" Toman, III (Jami), Nathan Ray Toman (Kristin) along with two who she claimed as her own, Tyler Brill and Michelle Brill; her grandchildren Luci Toman, Colby Toman, Ethan Toman, and Owen Toman; her siblings Lewis "Junior" Grandstaff, Don Grandstaff (Pam), and Robbie Grandstaff (Dina).  Evelin is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins who she dearly loved.

A funeral service for Mrs. Toman will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2026, at Stover Funeral Home with Pastor Buster Doman officiating. Burial will follow in the Isaiah-Clem Cemetery in Fort Valley, VA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Brill, Landon Ritenour, Jonathan Toman, Adam Stout, Houston Toman, III, Neil Domalik, Josh Wilkins, Brandon Grandstaff, and Tim Duncan.  Mrs. Toman's grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
