Ethel Mae Brill Ahlers 83, a resident of Strasburg, VA passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at her home in Strasburg.

A graveside service for Mrs. Ahlers will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2021, at Panorama Memorial Gardens with Pastor Eric Reploeg officiating.

Mrs. Ahlers was born in Shenandoah County, Virginia on September 8, 1938 a daughter of the late Elijah and Betty Orndorff Brill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward William Ahlers, a grandson Christopher Allen Romer along with seven siblings.

Survivors include her two daughters Tina Ahlers Maddox (Jimmy) of Strasburg, VA and Cathy Elaine Ahlers of Winchester, VA; her grandchildren, Brian Andrew Maddox (Laurie), Chad William Kanatus (Fallon), Emily Quinn Maddox, Brandon Shreck Kanatus (Jessica), Ashley Noel Phillips; one great-granddaughter Marlene Elaine Kanatus along with her only surviving sibling, Winston Brill of Strasburg, VA.

The family suggest that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to the Strasburg Vol. Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 620, Strasburg, VA 22657 or the Strasburg Fire Department, P.O. Box 347, Strasburg, VA 22657.
