Eadline J. Grubb Renner, 95, of Star Tannery, VA passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at her home in Star Tannery, VA with family by her side.
Mrs. Renner was born in Frederick County, VA on October 10, 1930, a daughter of the late Howard J. and Rosie Copeland Grubb. She was a member of St. James and a long-time member of the Gravel Springs Lutheran Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Guy William Renner; son Mickey Mantle Renner; daughter Denise Ann Renner along with two sisters Helen Grubb Freed and Elva Grubb Himelright.
Survivors include her children Guy Dennis "Denny" Renner of Woodstock, VA, Deborah Renner Hulver (Doug) of Baker, WV, and Ricky Berra Renner (Wilma Jo) of Star Tannery, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to offer special acknowledgement to Mrs. Renner's caretaker, Patty Dellinger. Patty has truly been a blessing and earth angel to the Renner family the past few weeks.
A funeral service for Mrs. Renner will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Gravel Springs Lutheran Church with Rev. Sonya Williams-Giersch officiating. Mrs. Renner will be laid to rest following the service by her late husband at Gravel Springs Cemetery. The family request casual dress for her service.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Brandon Renner, William Hulver, Ryan Hulver, nephew Billy Smith, great-nephew Phillip Finfrock, and special friend Jeff Gochenour.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church or you may stop by Stover Funeral Home during normal business hours to pay your respects and sign the register.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork St., Winchester, VA 22601, as they went above and beyond to care for Mrs. Renner and comfort the family.
