Douglas Edward Jenkins, Sr. 81 of Strasburg, VA passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at Consulate Healthcare of Woodstock, VA.

A celebration of life service for Mr. Jenkins will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Stover Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Lowell officiating.  Mr. Jenkins will be laid to rest privately.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Saturday one hour prior to the service.

Doug was born in Strasburg, VA on December 18, 1940, a son of the late Walter "Mart" and Reba Ardesta Rhodes Jenkins.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Rachel Jean Jones Jenkins and siblings Shirley Ann Tolbert, Ida Mae Hepner, June Fay Plaugher, Edith Miller, Walter Jenkins, Jr., Rebecca Ritenour, Larry Jenkins, Sr., and Gloria Jean Jenkins.

Survivors include his children Douglas Edward Jenkins, Jr. and wife Jackie of Stephens City, VA, and Wallace "Wally" A. Jenkins of Strasburg. VA; his only grandchild Douglas Edward Jenkins, III of Winchester, VA along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
