Dorothy Lorain Williams 88 of Strasburg, VA passed away Saturday, May 20, 2022, at Heritage Hall of Front Royal, VA.

A funeral service for Ms. Williams will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2022, at Strasburg United Methodist Church with Rev. John Haynes, Jr. officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

Dorothy was born in Strasburg, VA on September 4, 1933, a daughter of the late James Owdy and Kathryn Elizabeth Mayhew Williams.  She was a member of the Strasburg United Methodist Church where she was a part of the Joy Sunday school class.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings Lucille Williams and John Wesley Williams.   The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ron and Nancy Nicholas for their love and devoted compassion to Ms. Dorothy as well as the caregivers at Heritage Hall of Front Royal, Blue Ridge Hospice and Warren Memorial Hospital.

Dorothy is survived by a nephew Jay Williams; nieces Sharon Williams, Melynda Mondragon, and Debora Gnegy; several great nieces and great nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Ron and Nancy Nicholas, Miranda Owens, and Ronda Forrester.

The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
