Dorothy Jean Alsberry Braxton, 92, of Strasburg, VA passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Woodstock Valley Health and Rehab in Woodstock, VA.

Mrs. Braxton was born in Strasburg, VA on December 24, 1933, a daughter of the late Wilber Mitchell and Lillian Virginia Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William A. Braxton.

Survivors include her children Margaret L. Alsberry Morton of Temple Hills, MD, and J. Frank Alsberry of Boyce, VA along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service for Mrs. Braxton will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be Conner Alsberry, J. Frank Alsberry, Kermit Goodwin, Derrick Morton, Rashad Robinson, and Tyrone Strother.
