Denise Lynne Fuqua, known as a devoted wife, mama, mammy, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, left this world suddenly on January 16, 2023, at the age of 58.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Friday evening from 6-9 p.m.  Services and burial for Mrs. Fuqua will be conducted privately.

Denise was born on February 4, 1964, to William Franklin and Doris Ann Shiflett Riley. At 20, Denise married Carlton Lee Fuqua and together they had two children: Jennifer and Julie. Denise became a grandmother in 2017 when Harper Bailey Keyser was born.  She spent her life selflessly loving and taking care of her family, carving out an irreplaceable spot in their lives and hearts. She was happiest whenever she was surrounded by the people she loved, showing them how much they meant to her.  She lived her life exemplifying honesty, loyalty, and love.

Denise is survived by her husband Carlton Lee Fuqua; her daughters Jennifer Fuqua and Julie Keyser (Ryan); her granddaughter Harper Bailey Keyser; her mother Doris Ann Shiflett Riley; sister Donna Schnetter, and many more loving relatives and friends.
