Bruce Lee Funk, of District Heights, MD, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026, at his residence.

Bruce was born on May 2, 1968, to David Franklin Funk and the late Joyce Ann Lake Funk. He worked as a steel millwright worker for many years. Bruce was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins, loved good music and comedy movies, as well as taking care of multiple cats. Bruce had a love for gaming with friends and family and just being there for anyone. He will be greatly missed.

Bruce is survived by his father David F. Funk; his siblings Catherine M. Funk and David E. Funk; his nephews Robert L. Funk and David V. Funk; his niece Valerie J. Funk; and his great nephews Zeke Funk and Zane Funk.

A funeral service for Mr. Funk will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2026, at Stover Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Funk Family Cemetery, Fort Valley, VA. The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
