Birgitta Ursula Kallmayer O'Neill 72 of Edinburg, VA passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at her residence.
A funeral service for Mrs. O'Neill will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at the Emmanuel Church at Fishers Hill with Rev. Dan Locke officiating. Mrs. O'Neill will be laid to rest in the Fishers Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. O'Neill was born in Kaiserslautern, Germany on September 25, 1949, a daughter of the late Kurt Jacob and Auguste Natalie Krieg Kallmayer. She was a member of the Emmanuel Church at Fishers Hill and worked for Home Instead. Mrs. O'Neill was an advocate for many humane societies and animal shelters especially the Front Royal Humane Society and loved her many cats and dogs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Erwin Walk.
Survivors include her children Michael Miller, Catherine Davis and Bryan O'Neill; her grandchildren Calista O'Neill, Emily O'Neill, Connor O' Neill, and Sophie Davis; her siblings Monika Sander, Hans Kallmayer, Rainer Kallmayer, and Lothar Kallmayer; her son Bryan's father, Terrence O'Neill along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Emmanuel Church at Fishers Hill, P.O. Box 45, Fishers Hill, VA 22626, the Humane Society of Shenandoah County, P.O. Box 173, Woodstock, VA 22664, or the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, 269 Landfill Road, Edinburg, VA 22824.
