Betty Burke Arbogast Ellis 80, a resident of Toms Brook, VA passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at her residence.

A graveside service for Mrs. Ellis will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 at Bennett's Chapel Cemetery, 839 Rivermont Drive, Front Royal, VA 22630 with Rev. Kathleen Haynes officiating.

She was born in Strasburg, VA on August 31, 1936 a daughter of the late John Robert and Vesta Virginia Rinker Burke. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald A. Arbogast, Sr. and second husband, Donald Frank Ellis; a grandson Brian W. Arbogast and siblings, John A. Burke, Orville Racey and John Robert Burke, Jr.

Survivors include her children, Donald A. Arbogast, Jr. and wife Jane of Slanesville, WV, Mark W. Arbogast and late wife Cathy of Toms Brook, VA, David Lee Arbogast and wife, Terri of Toms Brook, VA, Christine H. Arbogast Stickles and husband Richard of Toms Brook, VA and Sarah "Sally" Ellis Donovan of Stafford, VA; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; one sister, Vanessa Burke of Strasburg, VA.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.
