Barbara Lee Johnston, 73, of Strasburg, VA passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Johnston was born in Washington DC on June 30, 1951, a daughter of the late Charles Herbert and Lucille Mae Daymude Gatton, Sr.  She was a member of the Winchester Moose Lodge 1283, loved to dance, and was an avid NASCAR fan.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Herb and Shirley.

Survivors include her children JJ Johnston of Front Royal, VA and Donnie Johnston (Brooke) of Stephens City, VA; her grandchildren Jonathan Johnston, Austin Johnston, Caden Johnston, Brogan Johnston, and Jackson Johnston; her great grandchildren Juli Johnston, Layla Johnston, and Wilder Johnston along with her companion James Crompton.

A funeral service for Mrs. Johnston will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 20, 2024, at Stover Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Gravel Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m.

The Pallbearers will be Donnie Johnston, JJ Johnston, Jonathan Johnston, Austin Johnston, Caden Johnston, Brogan Johnston, and Jackson Johnston.
