Anthony Montes Moreno "Tony Bony" 12, of Woodstock, VA passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church, VA.

A funeral mass of Christian burial for Anthony will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church.  Anthony will be laid to rest in the Massanutten Cemetery, Woodstock, VA.

Anthony was born in Woodstock, VA on March 14, 2009, a son of Humberto Montes and Diana Morano. He was a kid with a beautiful smile.  He was loved by all who knew him.  Anthony loved to fish and played soccer for the Shenandoah County Soccer League.  He started playing soccer when he was five years old.  When he was nine Anthony became a part of the travel soccer team the Gladiators.  He was a student at Peter Muhlenberg Middle School.  Anthony dreamed of being a veterinarian and playing professional soccer.

Anthony is survived by his parents Humberto Montes and Diana Morano of Woodstock, VA; his siblings Brandon Montes and Matthew Montes both of Woodstock, VA; his paternal grandmother Maria Montes of New Market, VA; his maternal grandmother Carmen Gonzalez of Mexico along with numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends at St. John Bosco Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 6-9 p.m.
