With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Anna Mae Williams Jackson, who went home to be with our Lord on September 27, 2025, at the age of 98.
Anna was born in Strasburg, VA on July 1, 1927, to the late Rev. Donald Franklin and Phyllis Thornton Williams. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick Jackson. She is predeceased by both her mother and father and stepmother, Lillian B. Williams, her beloved husband Freddie, her daughter Constance, three brothers Clarence, Freddy, and Paul; three sisters Pearl, Selma, and Mildred (Millie) and a son – William Robert (Bobby) Jackson.
She leaves to carry on her legacy, four sisters Rev. Frances Stewart, Strasburg, VA Cecil Williams (Benny), Deplane, VA, Janice Tyler (Norris), Upper Marlboro, MD and Bernice Washington (James), Richmond, VA; two daughters Brenda Jackson, Strasburg, VA and Wanda Jackson, Randallstown, MD; one son Gerald Jackson, Middletown, VA and two grandsons Richard D. Jackson (Teresa), Michael Jackson (Tracy). She was blessed with two granddaughters, Ronda L. Cox and Geraldine D. Canunag (Ian) along with a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Jackson will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Esbie Baptist Church, 611 Ash Street, Strasburg, VA with Pastor Merwyn D. Brisco, Sr. officiating. Mrs. Jackson will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Good Hope Cemetery, Front Royal, VA.
Pallbearers will be Rick Jackson, Ricky Jackson, Seven Jackson, Norris Tyler Jr., Jerome Williams, and Gearald Jackson. Honorary pallbearers Paul Williams, Minister Leon Bell, Gene Willis, and Harold Chunn.
The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home and Crematory on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 6-8 p.m.
