Andrew Philip "Andy" Cazalas 75 of Strasburg, VA passed away Monday, February 7, 2022, at the Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Winchester, VA.

A celebration of life for Andy will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Stover Funeral Home with Rev. John Haynes, Jr. officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Andy was born in Washington DC on September 5, 1946, a son of the late David Peter and Marion Catherine Smith Cazalas.  He later moved to Falls Church, VA where he graduated from Falls Church High School in 1966, and where he met the love of his life of 54 years, Mychelle.  Andy was a veteran of the US Army Reserve where he served for seven years.  He retired from the United States Postal Service with 38 years of service and then worked 13 years for Costco.  Andy loved to sing and dance, especially the jitterbug.  He knew no strangers, loved to tell jokes (the same jokes over and over again), he had a great sense of humor, loved duck pin bowling, fishing, loved to build projects and was an all-around handyman.   He loved the Washington Redskins, golfing with his grandchildren who he dearly loved.    Andy was never a materialistic man but a giver from the heart who was always giving and never expecting anything in return.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers David and Bob Cazalas.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mychelle Cazalas; his children Tammy Mae Cazalas Cecero and Andrew Philip Cazalas, II; his beloved grandchildren Timothy Hunter Carmichael, Zachary Duncan Carmichael, and Hope Delaney Carmichael; his siblings Betty Gramling, Joan James, Mary Cazalas, Cathy Osborne, and John Cazalas along with numerous nieces, nephews along with a host of wonderful friends.  Andy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601.
