Alice Faye Devers Smith 80, a resident of Maurertown, VA passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral service for Mrs. Smith will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 22, 2021, at the Strasburg Christian Church with Rev. Rob Lovett officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was born in Strasburg, VA on October 15, 1941, a daughter of the late Harry Clark and Alice Virginia Racey Devers. She was a member of the Strasburg Christian Church where she served as a former Deacon, loved flowers, and was a devoted mother, grandmother "Nana", and homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in the death by a brother Larry Devers and a sister Carol Harrold.
Survivors include her loving husband Cecil Allen Smith of Maurertown; her beloved children Doug Smith of Strasburg, VA, Mike Smith (Carol) of Strasburg, VA, and Kim Fauber (Kevin) of Maurertown, VA; her grandchildren, Chris Smith (Amanda) of Strasburg, Anthony Smith of Middletown, Bradley Fauber (Allie) of Toms Brook, Bethany Recko (Conor) of Maurertown, Kasey Richman (Dexter) of Maurertown, Natalee Mapp of Aldi, VA, Kara Keller (Brandon) of Strasburg, Kalee Ford (Joe) of Stephens City, and Ian Smith of Strasburg; great-grandchildren Madelynn, Dax, Grace, Myles, Landon, Ava, Owen, Reese, Cecelia, and Shepherd; two sisters Nancy Stickley and Linda Renner both of Strasburg, VA along with one brother H. Clark Devers (Boobie) of Toms Brook.
Pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Anthony Smith, Bradley Fauber, Ian Smith, Dexter Richman, and Conor Recko.
Honorary Pallbearers will be her granddaughters.
The family will receive friends at the church on Friday one hour prior to the service.
The family suggest that expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorial contributions to Blue Ridge Hospice, 333 W. Cork Street, Winchester, VA 22601 or Strasburg Christian Church, 165 High Street, Strasburg, VA 22657.
